VAPT is pleased to announce that our Written Examination Study has now received ethics approval from the University of Melbourne and is able to start collecting data on the demographics and study practices of psychiatry trainees sitting the written examinations. VAPT OSCE Exam Preparation Night 2015

Dr Donovan Moncur

Dr Moncur is the Director of Training at Alfred Health, and an OSCE, OCI and writtens examiner for the College.  He has been involved with the Alfred’s OSCE training programme for around 8 years, during which time he has seen hundreds of OSCEs performed and supported close to a hundred registrars to pass this exam.

He will be speaking about How to Make Best Use of Final Weeks of OSCE Preparation

This will be an excellent opportunity to get some “last minute” fine-tuning advice for those of you sitting the OSCEs in September from someone with extensive experience in getting registrars to pass this exam.

Q&A afterwards will also feature fellow registrars who have actually passed the OSCE in April!

This rural workshop is supported by RANZCP Victorian Branch and contributes to continuing professional development (CPD) of Psychiatrists and Psychiatry trainees. It focuses on trauma related disorders and practice issues for Psychiatrists in regional/rural settings.

VAPT Written Exam Night 2015 #2

VAPT is proud to announce its second Written Exam Night for 2015, this time featuring Dr Kym Jenkins who will be giving insights into How to Make Best Use of Final Month of Exam Preparation

Dr Jenkins is the College’s President-Elect and has extensive experience with both College exams and the new 2012 curriculum, having been the Chair of the Examinations Committee as well as chairing a number of working parties related to the planning and development of the new 2012 curriculum.  She is also the Medical Director of the Victorian Doctors’ Health Program.

 

This will be an excellent opportunity to get some “last minute” fine-tuning advice for those of you sitting the August writtens from someone who has extensive experience with both the College exams process as well as the focus of the new curriculum.

Q&A afterwards will also feature fellow registrars who have actually passed both parts of the new 2012 paper!
